Empowerment of deaf people and the hard of hearing, these are the founding principles of AnnieS. Aware of the limited capabilities of current mobile telecommunication, its goal over the past years has been to provide an alternative to this substantial target group. And it succeeded in doing so.
AnnieS developed the software for Real Time Text Services. And was a substantial factor in developing the cooperation between crucial partners that now form the RTT Alliance. Its software was provided to subscribers, who could then freely pass it on. This created a base from where to move on.
By doing so, AnnieS created the foundation for the subsequent rollout of RTT Services. It showed potential participating partners that a commercial installment of its application was feasible and wanted. And thereby helped the current development of the ecosystem that is doing so.
AnnieS continues to cooperate with the RTT Alliance, in sharing its experience and expertise in the Dutch rollout of RTT Services.
